TORONTO, August 31, 2023 – Skelton Truck Lines Ltd. has won the 2023 National Northbridge Insurance Transportation Safety Award. The award was presented to Skelton Truck Lines at an event held at their office on August, 18, 2023.

Launched in 2021, the Northbridge Insurance Transportation Safety Award was created to recognize carriers with industry-leading management practices. Having helped transportation companies navigate risks on and off the road for over 70 years, Northbridge understands the commitment required to build a culture of safety.
Each year, finalists, regional winners, and a national winner are selected based on several factors. These criteria include the carrier’s achievements on Northbridge’s Transportation Best Practices Profile, proactive industry involvement, and an excellent track record in crash trends, collisions per million miles, high-cost type collisions, and visibility-related collisions.
Carriers who have been policyholders for at least two consecutive years, have proven management and company-wide safety commitment, and have shown great collaboration as a Northbridge Insurance partner are eligible for the award.
Regional winners of the 2023 Northbridge Insurance Transportation Safety Award included Vedder Transportation Group (Western), Skelton Truck Lines (Ontario), Groupe Transcol (Quebec), and Atlantic Pacific Transport (Atlantic).
