TORONTO, March 20, 2024 – Northbridge Insurance is proud to announce the regional winners of the Northbridge Insurance Transportation Safety Award for 2024.
Selected by a panel of Northbridge representatives from across Canada, the 4 regional winners and 14 finalists have shown a proactive commitment to industry-leading safety management practices and demonstrated their dedication to navigating risks both on and off the road.
The 2024 Regional Winners are:
- Western Regional Winner: Sharp Trucking Services Ltd.
- Ontario Regional Winner: Manitoulin Transport
- Quebec Regional Winner: Andy Transport Inc.
- Atlantic Regional Winner: Atlantic Pacific Transport Ltd.
The national winner will be chosen this fall.

Launched in 2021, the Northbridge Insurance Transportation Safety Award was created to recognize carriers who lead the way in terms of safety and engage proactively within the industry. As an insurance partner of transportation carriers for more than 70 years, Northbridge Insurance understands the dedication required to build and maintain a culture of safety.
Each year, finalists and regional winners are identified according to their accomplishments on Northbridge’s Transportation Best Practices Profile, connectivity within the industry and excellent track record in crash trends, collisions per million miles, high-cost type collisions, and visibility-related collisions.
From the regional winners, a national winner is chosen based on qualifying questions related to their safety achievements.
“This year’s winners and finalists exemplify continuous improvement when it comes to safety within their organization and the transportation industry,” says Scott Creighton, Director of Risk Services at Northbridge Insurance.
Carriers who have been policyholders for at least two consecutive years, have a proven management and company-wide safety commitment, and have shown great collaboration as a Northbridge Insurance partner are eligible for the award.
